Speaker 0 00:00:00 Hello everybody and welcome back. It is once again me your favorite movie critic, the Deputy of movie Deputy Podcasts, formerly known as the Deputy of movie deputy.com. Not in the whole prince type thing, but just, you know what I mean, <laugh> on that. I am so excited to kind of bring some new news to you today. It is August 1st, 2023 and oh boy, do we have some changes coming this month. Uh, our biggest announcement that we wanna make is that we've actually go, we're actually going to be unveiling a brand new logo for our podcasts. We're gonna be unveiling that here in a couple weeks, so that will be really exciting. So keep an eye out for that. We're gonna be doing some really awesome giveaways when the new logo comes out. So definitely be sure and listen up because I will have those announcements coming later this month. Another big announcement that I know you guys are all gonna be excited for, because I have literally gotten hundreds of messages about this, but as of this Thursday upcoming movies, our special podcast that talks about the movies that are coming up that week is coming back this week. So if you're excited for that, I wanna hear it.
Speaker 0 00:01:15 Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I want to hear that excitement, I want to hear that just, ah, yay, super excitement and stuff on that. Those will actually restart again on August 3rd, and that will be every Thursday that those are going to be coming live again. So you'll have those to look up, look forward to, and to kinda give you a heads up on what movies are coming out to. Just let you know kind of what's out there and what you might wanna look up and see, and just a little bit about the stuff. Be a little bit more than just kinda what the trailers necessarily tell you because it's a lot to keep up with and it's a lot easier to listen to just a few minute podcast than it is to try to watch anywhere from eight to 20 trailers depending on the week.
Speaker 0 00:01:59 And so that's what I'm here for, to try to make that a little bit easier for you. I am also excited to announce that we are going to be changing up our lineup a little bit. The weekday podcasts are Monday through Thursday, Monday through Friday, depending on the week, but it's definitely gonna be Monday through Thursday for sure. We're gonna be talking about older movies now. The older movies could be something as recent as a couple weeks ago. It could be something from many years ago. And I'm just gonna kind of mix that up, not necessarily gonna go in any particular orders to try to just kinda keep it interesting and everything on that. When I do get into a series, I am, I'll do like what I have been doing where I just kind of go through the series movies, starting with the first one on up to the most current. So th that'll kinda help a that stay in line a little bit. But then our exclusive weekend shows, so definitely for sure Saturday, Sunday, maybe including Friday too, depending on the lineups for the week. And depending on when I get a chance to view them, those will be the movies coming out that weekend. So that'll be our new podcast

I am just, like I said, I'm jumping back into it, kind of changing up the format. And who knows, depending on feedback I get from doing this, I may end up even making a few more minor changes to it. 'cause I'm always in, I'm always interested in the feedback and everything that I get from you guys and I appreciate it, or most of it at least. And even with the criticism, it's like, you know, I take it with a grain of salt, just kind of how it is. It's like I can't be in this type of industry industry and not expect criticism. I mean, come on. But like I always tell you, if you don't like what I'm talking about, if you don't agree with me, guess what?

And yes, I want people to tune in and listen and share and like, and subscribe and all the goodies that come along and go with this. But at the same time, I'm not gonna sit here and force you to listen. If, if I'm saying something that offends you, then turn it off. I'm not gonna stop saying what I'm saying because this is my opinion. I'm entitled to my opinion. Just like you're entitled to yours. And if you wanna be offended, be offended. I don't really care, but I'm not going to be canceled because I hurt your feelings. Plain is simple. So I said if you like the shows, like subscribe, share, whatever. If you wanna do with that, if you don't guess what, turn it off. Block me. I, I mean there's a lot of different things to do if you don't like what you're hearing, it's like no, nobody's holding those to your ears and super gluing 'em to you.
Speaker 1 00:04:26 It's just not how this works. And the reason I'm kind of touching on so much of that is I get a lot of hate now. Like I said, I, I expect it's criticism. I mean, I'm out here expressing my opinion, so I expect some, but some of the venom that has just spewed at me, primarily from the left, it's like I'm go, I'm gonna call these people out. They don't want anybody to have free speech anymore. They, they think just because I'm saying something that they don't like that I should, that my, I should just end my program. And, uh, they get a lot more graphic other than that of things I should do to myself. I'll let you use your imagination on that one. And I really do try not to let it get to me, but at the same time it's like going, really people come on <laugh>, but I don't wanna focus on that for this part of the show.

And yes, I absolutely love what I'm doing with Movie Deputy this having the new podcast format is, I'm still getting used to it. I'm still trying to figure out the whole intro and the wrap up things on that because it's like, hi, I am always your favorite deputy, a movie deputy podcast, and at the end I'm always till later. Bye-bye. So if you guys have some solutions or some ideas on what I should do for my intros and for my wrap-ups, let me hear 'em. Kind of how I've been doing them. Do you guys want maybe just maybe combining a couple of movies into a day and just getting 'em a couple days a week? Is there a preface that you guys have on that? I'm, I'm flexible on some of this stuff and I want to do in a way that's going to be easier for me and easier for you and it's just gonna flow a lot better.
Speaker 1 00:06:37 Like I said, I'm so excited to be bringing my upcoming movies podcast back up. Just so you know there, the movie recap channel that we have. Eventually as I'm working with it, that channel is actually going to disappear. I'm gonna take those movie recap episodes and I'm going to separate them into the individual movies and then they'll be on the movie reviews channel. So it'll be the same reviews that are up. I'm not gonna re-record them, I'm just going to kinda separate the movies from themselves. 'cause I've got anywhere from two to five, sometimes seven movies on one of those shows. And I'll just break it up and I might add a little bit more to them depending on the, the content and everything that's involved. But I really hope that this is gonna be a new adventure. And like I said, I'm so excited to unveil our new logo.
Speaker 1 00:07:21 Mind you, our the movie deputy logo that we have with the Star where movie deputy kinda looks like a wave. That logo's actually not going anywhere, but that's going to still be the logo, the main logo for the company. But the podcast logo is, is something really special. I'm really looking forward to unveiling it for you guys. It's something that's been a long time in the coming since I've, since even before I restarted up the channel after taking a year's hiatus. So just <laugh>, it's just exciting and there's just so much going on with it. People think, oh, you've got the easiest job in the world. You just watch movies. It's like, no, there, there's actually a lot more to it than that. There's, I take all my notes and it's a lot of the backend work and it's a lot of, oh, not how bad that sounded.
Speaker 1 00:08:02 Sorry, but, but with the work that's on the computer side of it, just to kinda make all of this happen and put all this together for you. Uh, I actually don't do a lot of the editing. The biggest thing that I edit outta the podcast and I don't edit out my flubs as you've heard, it's like, yep, yep, yep. That's all folks. But what I edit out or when you hear these, I edit the breath sounds out just because, I mean, I'm still working on getting my, the whole breath thing down pat so I don't have to edit the, so I don't talk until I just run outta breath and then have to go just to breathe <laugh>. I'm not gonna make myself please what I do with that, that bad. But like I said, I'm just really excited with a lot of these changes and there's even more changes coming.
Speaker 1 00:08:44 One of the big announcements that I was hinting to on our last, on the last movie podcast, when I'm talking about the Meg, but I was hinting to this is later this month. I haven't picked out the exact date yet because I'm still kind of putting it together. But I get so many questions and so many que the repeat questions from different people of different things related to Movie Deputy. And so I'm going to come on here later in August and do a question and answer podcast. I'm not saying just six or seven people, but I get, I get duplicate questions of a lot of people asking the same thing of the questions that actually have some merit to them. I've got about six or seven so far, but I'm definitely looking forward to getting more to kind of doing that podcast and that I think that'll kind of help both you and me if we're kind of going through this process. I said I hope you're enjoying this. I hope you're ex as excited as I am about the upcoming movies, shows coming back, the new logo and just kind of the changes to the lineups.
